1. Students know that the Central People’s Government is responsible for the defence of the HKSAR while the Government of the HKSAR is responsible for the public order of the Region.

2. Students know that the Hong Kong Garrison of the People’s Liberation Army should strictly follow the regulations in the Basic Law and the Garrison Law. They should not interfere in the local affairs of the HKSAR, and are required to obey the law of the HKSAR.

3. Students know that the Government of the HKSAR does not pay tax or pay for the expenditure for the garrison to the Central People’s Government.

4. Students know that the Central Government does not recruit soldiers from the HKSAR.
