Gifted Education Fund and The Advisory Committee on Gifted Education

Gifted Education Fund

The Gifted Education Fund was set up in November 2016 under the Education Bureau as an endowment of $800 million for generating investment income to support the operation of the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE) with a view to enabling more students to unleash their potential, enriching the talent pool and enhancing the competitiveness of Hong Kong. The Finance Committee of the Legislative Council approved in October 2018 to make an injection of $800 million into the Gifted Education Fund to enhance the HKAGE’s services and to engage more stakeholders for providing diversified off-school advanced learning programmes for gifted students in Hong Kong.
