| 1. | This is to inform all serving kindergarten (KG) principals and teachers that the Approved Course List (ACL) for course fee reimbursement has been uploaded. |

| 2. | According to the Implementation Details on professional upgrading of kindergarten principals and teachers as stipulated in the Education Bureau Circular No. 1/2007 on ‘New Initiatives in Pre-primary Education’ http://www.edb.gov.hk/FileManager/en/Content_5828/professional%20upgrading.pdf, in order to upgrade the professionalism of pre-primary education workers, the Government will provide financial support for all principals and teachers for further professional upgrading as from the 2007/08 school year to the end of the 2011/12 school year. |
| 3. | As stipulated in the Implementation Details paragraph 9(a), serving principal and serving full-time teachers teaching the full curriculum of nursery, lower and upper classes in the KGs as in the 2007/08 school year (and onwards) are eligible for course fee reimbursement for one approved Certificate in Early Childhood Education (C(ECE)) or Bachelor of Education Degree in Early Childhood Education (BEd(ECE)) course/ principal certificate course. A list of approved courses will be uploaded and updated from time to time. The list of approved courses is now uploaded, please refer to http://www.edb.gov.hk/FileManager/EN/Content_5828/approved%20course%20list_e.pdf for reference. |

| 5. | Further implementation details on professional teacher upgrading including staff professional development subsidy redemption procedures and arrangements for submission of staff development plan will be uploaded by phases in due course. |
