Quality Education Fund

Target of service:

mainly caters for worthwhile non-profit making, pioneering initiatives within the ambit of basic education, i.e. pre-primary, primary, secondary and special education.

Aim of service:

The QEF funds a wide range of projects that promote quality education in schools. Funding is mainly directed, but not restricted, to the :

(a) Projects for Promoting Effective Learning
(b) Projects for Promoting All-round Education
(c) Projects for Implementing School-based Management
(d) Education Research Projects
(e) Projects for Application of Information Technology

Application method:

Applications can be submitted throughout the year. They should be submitted through the Electronic Project Management System (EPMS) via the QEF website http://qef.org.hk . Submission by other means e.g. by post, by fax, by email or in person will not be accepted.

School-based After School Learning and Support Programmes

Target of service:

P1 to S7 students in receipt of the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) or full grant under the Student Financial Assistance Scheme (SFAS).  Schools and Non-governmental Organisations are also given the discretion to offer not more than 10% of the allocation for other disadvantaged students who are not receiving CSSA/SFAS full grant.

Aim of service:

To provide more assistance and opportunities for disadvantaged students to broaden their learning experiences outside the classroom, learn how to get along with other people from participating in group activities, develop self-awareness and enhance self-confidence.
