Performance Pledges

The Education Bureau is committed to providing quality education for the society.  Since the launching of performance pledges, most of the established targets have been achieved.  We are committed to enhancing our efficiency and effectiveness from time to time.  Through the collaboration of all staff of the bureau, we will continue to provide the best service to meet the aspirations of our community.

Subject to the assessment and recommendation of specialists and parents’ consent, refer children to special schools within 14 working days100.00%
Issue teacher registration certificates or teaching permits within 25 working days (December to August) and 27 working days (September to November) when all the required information and documents are received and found in order100.00%
Issue transcripts and testimonials to students of the former Colleges of Education and the Institute of Language in Education within 12 working days100.00%
Effect payment of provident fund within 28 working days (August to September) and 23 working days (October to July)100.00%

In case of tropical cyclones or persistent rain affecting the safety of students, announce the closure of schools before 6:15 a.m. for morning classes, before 11:00 a.m. for afternoon classes and before 6:00 p.m. for evening classes100.00%
