Life-wide Learning Activity Databank (including Other Learning Experiences)

The Life-wide Learning (LWL) Activity Databank and the Other Learning Experiences (OLE) Activity Databank have been set up for some years to provide platforms for organisations (e.g. non-profit making organisations, government departments / bureaux, social organisations and tertiary institutions) intending to offer learning opportunities for students to promote these activities with a view to encouraging schools to harness community resources to organise quality LWL and OLE programmes / activities to enrich students’ learning experiences and foster whole-person development.

The above two Databanks have been merged as the new LWL Activity Databank, and migrated to the EDB One-Stop Portal for Learning and Teaching Resources (OSP) with effect from mid-August 2017. The new Databank allows for more accurate keyword search and provides PDF version of activity information for downloading.  The new arrangements for the Databank were announced in the Education Bureau (EDB) Circular Memorandum (CM) No. 174/2017 (Annex 3) for schools’ attention.

The new Databank can be accessed through the following paths:

Furthermore, activity updates on the latest activities posted in the Databank will be issued and open for teachers’ subscription.  For subscription, please complete and return to us the "Subscription Form".  Organisation that are offering mainly non-profit making activities are welcome to join the Databank as members to submit activities to us for posting on the Databank.  The above relevant forms can be downloaded in the following table.

Community organisations can apply for joining the Databank as members to provide activity information for schools' reference. After vetting by the EDB, activities of non-profit making in nature will be posted on the Databank.

Teachers can subscribe to receive emails informing them of any newly posted activities on the Databank.
