The SOW Picture Book Design Competition was successfully completed in August 2021. Through participating in the Competition, students of local primary and secondary schools have gained a deeper understanding of different SOW and enhanced their multimodal literacy by producing visual representations which illustrated their understanding of and insights into the SOW that resonate with and inspire them. To acknowledge and showcase students’ work, Calendar 2022 capturing 12 winning entries from the four divisions of the Competition – the Lower Primary, Upper Primary, Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary divisions – has been developed. Teachers and students could appreciate both the artistic design of the winning entries and the meaning of the SOW all year round. Students could also explore further and learn more SOW either on their own or with teachers’ guidance.
