Creative Use of English

Creative Eng_logo

Promoting the creative use of English helps enrich and extend students’ language learning experiences. To support schools in incorporating elements of the creative use of English into the English Language curriculum, a collection of six posters is designed to present six key topics on the creative use of English in a lucid and graphical manner for easy understanding. Teachers are encouraged to make effective use of the posters to stimulate students’ creativity in the use of English and display the posters in classrooms, English Room or at appropriate places of the school premises to create a language-rich environment.

In addition, a collection of six activity sheets is designed to facilitate and complement the use of the posters by providing opportunities for students to apply the writing skills and techniques featured in the posters. These resource materials can be used in combination flexibly to develop students’ sensitivity to language use and engage them in exploring the creative use of English.
