Learning Activities


The EDB and the PISA 2025 Project Team of the University of Hong Kong jointly organised the "Mascot Design Competition – Hong Kong's Participation in International Assessments". The competition received enthusiastic responses, with over 800 students from more than 90 secondary schools participating.  The winning entries were featured by their unique designs, exhibiting the students' creativity and their understanding of international studies and assessments.

  • "Mascot Design Competition – Hong Kong's Participation in International Assessments" Exhibition

The winning entries from the Mascot Design Competition were displayed  on "Community Connect" at various MTR stations, sharing the achievements of schools and students with the community, and deepening public understanding of PISA and other international studies.

         

                          

  • Drone Taster Course

The three most actively participating schools in the "Mascot Design Competition – Hong Kong's Participation in International Assessments" received sponsorship to participate in a drone course, providing students with direct experience with emerging technology and understand the potential applications of drones in various fields.

                      


  • Science and Reading Seminars

To enhance teachers' and students' understanding of reading, astronomical climate, and innovations in ancient Chinese technology, Professor ZHU Xinhua, Professor SHUN Chin Ming, and Dr YAU Yat were invited as speakers to share on topics including insights from the PISA Reading Assessment Framework, exploring earth's future through astronomy and the brilliant technology of ancient China.

                                                  

                          

  • Promotion of Popular Science Reading

A series of popular science books themed around the environment and sustainable development were displayed in public libraries to enhance public understanding of the major domain (science) of PISA 2025.

                      

Different schools were collaborated to organise exhibitions of science and environment-related books in their school libraries, fostering students' interest in reading popular science books.

                   

                  
 
  • Diversified Experiential Activities

Students who participated in PISA 2025 visited observation wheel and learnt about marine conservation at Ocean Park.
