Annual Prize Presentation Ceremony

Activity:

Theme Event - "WhatsApp Sticker Design Contest" and "Snapshot Photo Contest"

Date:

January 2023 to April 2023

Details:

Students expressed their views on CYC annual theme through designing WhatsApp stickers and snapping photos.

Remarks:

Activity:

School-based Environmental Cleaning Activity

Date:

January 2023 to March 2023

Details:

To support environmental protection and cleaning, schools are encouraged to organize their own environmental cleaning activities this year.

Remarks:

A total of 7 primary and secondary schools, with about 4,000 students in the district participated in. The list of awarded schools can be downloaded here (Chinese version only).

Activity:

Greening for the Chest - Cleaning for Charity

January 2022 to March 2023

Details:

The schools raised funds for the Community Chest by holding cleaning activities.

Remarks:

Activity:

Caring for the Mentally Handicapped

Date:

Details:

Through the visit and activities, students care for and serve the disadvantaged groups in society, learn to communicate with people with special needs, and promote social integration.

Remarks:

About 18 students from the district gathered with the mentally handicapped to celebrate Christmas.

Activity:

Visit - Hong Kong Palace Museum

Date:

December 2022

Details:

Through this visit to cultivate students' interest in Chinese culture, art and history. Students had the opportunity to step out of the classroom, utilize new learning resources, and enhance their abilities in self-exploration and interdisciplinary learning.

Remarks:

188 teachers and students from the district visited the Hong Kong Palace Museum, which opened in July. This is the largest visit event held by the Yuen Long District in recent years.

Activity:

Greening for the Chest - Charity Plant Sale

Date:

October 2022 to April 2023

Details:

This activity cultivated members' interest in planting potted plants and learning about life, with the goal of learning to respect, cherish and care for life; also raised funds for the Community Chest.

Remarks:

A total of 31 schools participated in, and a total of nearly HK$290,000 was raised. The results are encouraging. The list of awarded schools can be downloaded here (Chinese version only).
