Member Merit Award Scheme
Since the introduction of the CYC Member Merit Award Scheme in 1978, many members have attained awards at different level each year. The CYC Council conducted a comprehensive review on the scheme in 1991. Another revision was also resolved by the Council in the 2006/07 school year. The revised scheme has been launched since 1 September 2008 after taking into account opinions and advice of the schools.
Under the new scheme, the coverage of recognized activities or services becomes more extensive, including those with the objective of “Learn, Be Concerned and Serve”. Members are encouraged to participate in the planning and implementation of various activities or services and to develop their leadership skills.
Criteria and Application for Awards
Notes to Awards Application
→Badges of Foundation Level and Level 1 will be presented by teachers-in-charge in schools in any appropriate time.
→Badges of Level 2 will be presented in district annual prize presentation ceremonies.
→Badges of Level 3 and Honour Levels will be presented in Annual Parade.
