Note:

1.

This school may be able to share facilities such as football pitch with the neighbouring school.

2.

There will be shared school entrance, loading and unloading space, vehicle circulation area and carpark with the three adjacent schools. The four school operators will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of these shared facilities.

3.

This secondary school may be paired up with the adjacent primary school (scheduled for completion in the same year) to form a “through-train”. The primary school premises has been allocated in the last allocation exercise.

4.

For SC1 to SC4, when other evaluation factors being similar, priority will be given to  applications for operating senior secondary schools (SSS). SSS under the DSS are expected to offer innovative and diversified curricular at senior secondary levels to cater to the diverse talent and needs of students and to allow for flexible progression pathways beyond S5.

5.

The possession of the area hatched on the location map will be deferred and will only be given to the school sponsor on a date to be specified by District Land Officer. The school sponsor may apply to Government for financial assistance for fencing off the whole site in accordance with prevailing Government policy.

Remarks:

  1. Sponsors' involvement in the design and construction of the school is very limited in the case of premises scheduled for completion in 2004 and 2005 since the school projects may have already started or will soon start. For schools scheduled for completion in 2006, limited alterations on design may be proposed for consideration.

  2. The above list is compiled on the basis of the most updated information available. The completion date of the school premises is subject to various factors including demand situation of school places, planning approval, technical feasibility study,  the actual progress of the school building programme, public consultation and funding approval of Finance Committee under Legislative Council, etc.

  3. These school premises are open to application on a competitive basis. An applicant may indicate his preference for location(s) which best suit(s) the proposed school’s vision, mission and future development. However, for the purpose of maximising the chance, it may not be to the applicant's advantage to be too restrictive in the location preference.
