Serving as External Reviewers

To enhance the transparency of External School Review (ESR) and facilitate the professional growth of school personnel, the Education Bureau (EDB) has implemented the programme of Collegial Participation in ESR, whereby serving principals and senior teachers in public sector schools will participate in ESR as External Reviewers (ERs). Drawing on their frontline professional experience in providing quality education, ERs provide an added perspective to ESR. Relevant training will be provided to equip ERs with the essential knowledge and skills before taking up the duties.

For principals and senior teachers who are interested in serving as ERs, please complete and return the application form to us by post or by fax on or before 25 May 2023. Starting from the 2015/16 school year, training on serving as ERs has been included in the designated programme for newly appointed principals. As such, principals of this category need not apply.

A training course will be organised between late June and early July 2023. As the number of training places for the course is limited, priority would be given to the serving principals who have not received such training. Successful applicants will be notified of relevant details by email.

For enquiries, please contact the Quality Assurance Sections of EDB at 3902 3737.
