Serving as External Reviewers

To enhance the transparency of External School Review (ESR) and facilitate the professional growth of school personnel, the Education Bureau (EDB) has implemented the programme of Collegial Participation in ESR, whereby serving principals and vice principals in public sector schools and schools under the Direct Subsidy Scheme will participate in ESR as External Reviewers (ERs).  Drawing on their frontline professional experience in providing quality education, ERs provide an added perspective to ESR.  Relevant training will be provided to equip ERs with the essential knowledge and skills.  ERs have to meet the required qualifications before taking up the duties.

For principals or vice principals who are interested in serving as ERs, please complete and return the application form to us by post or by fax on or before 27 February 2026.

A 3-day training course will be organised in June 2026. As the number of training places for the course is limited, priority would be given to the serving principals and vice principals who have not received such training. Successful applicants will be notified of relevant details by email.

For enquiries, please contact the Quality Assurance Sections of EDB at 3863 1842.
