Serving as External Reviewers

To enhance the transparency of External School Review (ESR) and professionalism of the education sector, the EDB has implemented the Collegial Participation Programme in the conduct of ESR whereby serving principals and senior teachers in public sector schools are invited to participate in ESR as External Reviewers (ERs). The ERs provide an added perspective to ESR by drawing on their frontline professional experience in providing quality education. Relevant training will be provided to equip ERs with the essential knowledge and skills before they take up their duties. Successful applicants are required to complete the 3-day training course which is scheduled for June 2020.

For principals and senior teachers who are interested in serving as ERs, please complete and return the application form to us by post on or before 3 April 2020. The number of training places for the course is limited. Priority would be given to serving principals who have not received such training.

Starting from the 2015/16 school year, training on serving as ERs has been included in the designated programme for newly appointed principals. Principals of this category need not apply.

Applicants will be notified of the result by email.
