T-standard+ Online Course

T-standard+ Online Course

Description

T-standard+ Online Course is one of the core training programmes that newly-joined teachers (NJTs) must complete within the first three years of service, which falls under Category 1 of the core training, namely “Teachers’ Professional Roles, Values and Conduct”. This online course aims to deepen NJTs’ understanding of the “T-standard+” - Professional Standards for Teachers of Hong Kong and their professional roles, professional conduct and values.

Contents

This online course explains the three professional roles stated in the “T-standard+” through scenario analysis, interactive games and videos. The course content is divided into the following five parts:
1.  Prologue
2. Caring Cultivators
3. Inspirational Co-constructors
4. Committed Role Models
5. Aspiration for self-advancement through self-reflection
To obtain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours, participants are required to complete the entire course within the specified period. CPD hours will be recorded under the core training of NJTs.

Training Mode

Participants can flexibly arrange their time during the course period to complete this self-paced online course on the designated platform, which takes approximately three hours. Participants must follow the course instructions to review all contents, complete learning activities, and fill out the feedback survey. Upon course completion, three CPD hours will be recorded under the “Training Programme for Newly-joined Teachers” of the “Professional Ladder for Teachers” section of the participant’s e-Services Portal account within one month after the course end date.
