Primary Level: Teaching Resources


        To facilitate the promotion of NSE in schools, the EDB will update learning and teaching resources timely for teachers’ reference.
        The learning and teaching resources below are provided by the EDB. Teachers can make enhancements or adaptations with reference to school-based needs.

Chinese Fable and Tale Series

(online interactive e-learning resources)

Through ten Chinese fables written in English, such as “The Story of Hua Mulan”, “One Rice, Thousand Gold” and “Borrow Light through Boring a Hole in the Wall”, students are guided to understand the essence of Chinese culture and develop positive values and attitudes, including filial piety, showing gratitude and a sense of national identity.

Learning and Teaching Resources on Writing and Delivering a Motivational Speech at Primary Level
(Online learning and teaching resources)
Through the appreciation of the English Saying of Wisdom (SOW) “We rise by lifting others.” and “The Story of Hua Mulan”, students are guided to understand Chinese culture and develop positive values and attitudes, including filial piety, responsibility and commitment. Then, they will write and deliver a motivational speech by connecting their reflections on a text of their own choice with a theme-related SOW.
