“Bringing Financial Education to Schools” Scheme


The Chief Executive’s 2026 Policy Address announced that the EDB would launch a new “Bringing Financial Education to Schools” Scheme (the Scheme) in collaboration with enterprises and higher education institutions in the 2026/27 school year to enhance students’ financial literacy.  Through diversified strategies and a mutually coordinated approach, the Scheme promotes a range of engaging and diversified student activities that align with the school curriculum.  Building on schools’ current solid foundation, the Scheme helps schools deepen students’ financial literacy and proper values, inspire innovative thinking and guide them to make good use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for economic and business data analysis, apply design thinking to develop innovative solutions, and understand the latest trends and applications of financial technology.

The Scheme comprises four student activities, as detailed below:
