Hong Kong Teachers’ Exchange Activities to the Mainland (2025/26)

The theme is “Integrating Reading and Writing Experiences: Diversified Approaches to Nurture Students’ English Literacy and Confidence”

Stage 1
Date: 9 – 11 March, 2026
Location: Hong Kong

Mainland exchange representatives: Representatives from the Department of Education, Guangdong and Heyuan, Heyuan Teacher Development Centre, and Heyuan primary and secondary school English teachers.
At this stage, activities were mainly about professional development conducted by EDB officers from different sections and two school visits including lesson observations.

Highlights:

Hong Kong Education Bureau representative took a group photo with the Mainland exchange representatives and Hong Kong exchange teachers at the opening ceremony.	Mainland exchange representatives participated the lesson observation of secondary 4 class about English lesson at St. Clare’s Girls’ School.	Mainland exchange representatives visited St. Clare’s Girls’ School and took a group photo.
Mainland exchange representatives participated the lesson observation of primary 5 class about English lesson at Tin Shui Wai Government Primary School.	Mainland exchange representatives visited Tin Shui Wai Government Primary School and took a group photo.	Mainland exchange representatives had a discussion on the key areas of support with Hong Kong exchange teachers.
