DSS Expansion

Background

Building on the robust development of internationalisation in post-secondary education in Hong Kong, the Government would like to further expand basic education to advance the development of Hong Kong as an international education hub, promoting the “Study in Hong Kong” brand to primary and secondary schools.  It is announced in the Chief Executive’s 2025 Policy Address that the Education Bureau (EDB) will, on a trial basis, allow Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) schools to apply for increasing the number and size of classes in expanding their intake of non-local students with student visas to study on a self-financing mode (DSS Expansion).

Non-local students with student visas are not eligible for DSS subsidy.  For information regarding school fees, please refer to the school website or contact the individual school for details.
