The case addresses the following concerns:
 (i)    What kind of administrative and professional support does the school management provide to facilitate the building of an English language rich environment?
(ii) How does the adoption of a whole school language curriculum approach enhance language learning and teaching?
(iii) What methods or strategies do the teachers use to motivate the students to learn English?
(iv) What have the non-English subject teachers done in providing a desirable environment conducive to English language learning?
 (v) How does the diligence and dedicated work of the students in English Activities Committee (EAC) contribute to the growing and enhancing English environment in the school?

    * Inter-disciplinary curriculum planning of Language Arts and Drama in Education (LST Yu Kan Hing Secondary School) [issued in March 2009]
The school offers Drama in Education for the students in the formal curriculum. To build on strengths, inter-disciplinary curriculum planning of language arts and Drama in Education has been suggested. It is hoped that the performance skills students learnt from their Drama lessons can facilitate them to perform English plays and therefore boost their confidence.
