Brief | Under the Scheme for Admission of Hong Kong Students to Mainland Higher Education Institutions (Admission Scheme), participating Mainland institutions will admit Hong Kong students based on their results in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, thus exempting them from taking the Joint Entrance Examination for Mainland institutions.
The School Principal Nomination Scheme under the Admission Scheme aims to affirm the outstanding performance of applicants in non-academic areas (such as sports, music, community service, arts, other cultural activities, leadership quality, etc), and encourages participating Mainland institutions, local secondary schools and students to consider, apart from public examination results, non-academic performances during the registration or admission process. Applicants with relevant talents can seek nomination from their school principals. |
