Primary One Admission System

The results of Primary One discretionary places for September 2026 will be released November 24 (Monday) by all government and aided primary schools. Parents who have already activated their POA e-Platform (ePOA) account are reminded to view the results via the ePOA from 10 a.m. on that day. Parents can also bring the parent's copy of the paper Application Form for Primary One Admission and view the results of their discretionary place application between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on that day at the school to which they have applied.

Parents should register their children November 26 (Wednesday) or November 27 (Thursday) at the school to which they have applied during school hours. Parents who cannot register their child within the above dates should notify the person in charge of registration matter of the school in advance to make alternative arrangements. Otherwise, they would be deemed to have given up their discretionary place.

The Education Bureau (EDB) will organise three identical briefing sessions for parents and kindergartens on 11, 13 and 18 December 2025. The briefing sessions, which will be conducted in Cantonese, will introduce the applications and operation of Public Desk of the POA e-Platform. Interested parents please apply for the above-mentioned briefing sessions on or before 2 December 2025 at https://forms.office.com/r/95115jfpzF. Registration will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis and will close once full.

2. Primary One Admission e-platform (ePOA)

In line with the Smart Government strategy, the EDB has fully digitalised POA. Parents who have registered as POA e-platform (ePOA) users and bound their accounts to "iAM Smart+" may submit applications and check the results for discretionary places and Central Allocation online via ePOA. The EDB encourages parents to register with "iAM Smart+" (https://www.iamsmart.gov.hk/en/reg.html) as early as possible for more convenient and faster P1 school place allocation services.
