The Education Bureau adopts a “multi-pronged” approach to support schools in implementing digital education. Building on the existing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) policy for teachers, teachers are required to complete a minimum of 30 hours of training in digital education within each three-year CPD cycle of 150 hours.

(a) Briefing Session on the Blueprint for Digital Education Development in Primary and Secondary Schools

The briefing sessions aim to enable the school sector to understand the key focuses of the Blueprint, and to share the experiences of different schools in whole-school digital education planning and the preparation for using the funding under the AI for Empowering Learning and Teaching Funding Programme.

(b)  Training on Implementing Artificial Intelligence Education Planning in Schools and Teacher Professional Training in Artificial Intelligence

The EDB provides tiered, diversified professional development activities on digital education. Following the announcement of the Blueprint, a new phase of training programmes (July to September 2026) is open for enrolment.
